Preventive examinations
PREVENTIVE EXAMINATION - CHECK-UPS
If you are a person with an important and responsible position, then different statistics apply to you than to the average population. According to a study conducted in America, where people in leading positions (mostly directors) were followed from 1991 to 2008, the following was found: Of the 520 managers who died during this time, 149 died suddenly (the most important causes being heart attacks and strokes) and 143 from cancer (1). For 154 managers, data on the cause of death was not available for various reasons, but we can assume that some of them also died from the aforementioned causes.
In other words, a person with a very responsible job has a well over 60% chance of suffering a heart attack, stroke or developing cancer in old age. This information is also confirmed by the fact that in Sweden, heart attacks have been recognized as an occupational disease for managers.
Preventive and managerial examination is intended for those for whom health is the first value, in the sense that if a person is not healthy, he cannot work and create.
Below I will explain some important things to you:
What you need to know about diseases and examinations when deciding on a managerial examination Which examinations are important when deciding on a preventive examination Our offer.
Examination adapted to your lifestyle
You have probably already sent your employees for a mandatory preventive examination in occupational medicine. In Slovenia, employers are required by law to send employees for a preventive examination, which is performed by a doctor specializing in occupational, traffic and sports medicine, every 1-5 years, depending on the activity. During the examination, they assess the employee's ability to work. A standard examination consists of a medical examination, hearing, vision, blood, urine and ECG examination.
Occupational medicine allows you to be sure that your employees are ready and physically fit for work. The Manager's examination allows you to discover potential risks and ensure that you will be healthy, strong and productive even in 20 years.
For this reason, the Manager package is primarily focused on the early detection of atherosclerosis, which is the main cause of heart attacks and strokes, and we have also added other examinations that are important in detecting other common diseases, including cancer.
The preventive examination is currently led and a certain part is also performed by the founder of the medical center, Martin Šinigoj, dr. med., spec. internal medicine.
Examinations and examinations to detect metbolic syndoms
Depending on your age, cholesterol, sugar, blood pressure control, and whether you smoke or not, your general practitioner will give you an assessment of your cardiovascular risk according to the Framingham table. For example, a 10% cardiovascular risk means that there is a 10% probability that you will experience a cardiovascular event in 10 years. This is a rough estimate. Early atherosclerosis and other diseases can be detected much more precisely with additional tests.
A preventive examination may include:
